The Col de la Vallée Étroite is a hiking route offering superb views of the surrounding peaks, streams and slopes along the way. Physically undemanding, it is distinguished above all by its length.
Start from the parking lot in the narrow valley, near the Terzo Alpini hut. In summer, you can also park your car at the hydroelectric power station and at Pian del Colle. Shuttle buses run daily from the narrow valley.
First head for the green lake: a detour to the lake is highly recommended (it takes just 20 minutes longer than the route). Continue along the GR 57, then cross the foundry bridge. The route then continues through the Travernette valley and the Grosse Somme before reaching the Vallée Etroite pass.
Return by the same route.
