After the footbridge, turn right and follow a wide path upstream to the Simoust bridge. Once you've crossed the bridge, you're off on a tarmac ascent (come on, you're here to burn some calories!). After the 2nd hairpin turn left (brown MTB markers) on an easy path to reach the Pain de Sucre, which you skirt on the north side. Head towards Guillestre and cross over to the left after the bridge, going straight on until you reach the Combe Chauve forest track, which you follow for about 1 km uphill, before turning right onto a technical downhill path. Just follow the forest track, and you're back in Guillestre, passing the marble workshop on the right, to reach the Queyras roundabout and then the town center.
