This very long loop will take you between France and Italy, exploring the valleys of the Terres Monviso.

Cross over to Italy via the Col de Larche and head to Cuneo (big market day on Tuesdays) through the Valle Stura.

Continue on to the wine-growing region of Barolo before reaching Saluzzo and its pretty old town.

Continue towards Sampeyre and the Varaita Valley to take the Col Agnel, which rises to an altitude of 2,744 metres.

Return to France via the splendid Col de Vars.
