Snowshoeing & New Year's Eve: a turnkey holiday with Faranchin

The Oisans balcony, gateway to the Ecrins, is the massif that borders the great peaks of the southern Alps. It's the ideal place to discover snowshoeing, unique landscapes, panoramic views, alpine pastures and accessible plateaus, giving you the chance to experience a unique mountain journey, in the company of local guides who know their country inside out.

▶ Day 1 - Welcome and installation
On arrival at the hotel, you'll take time to settle in and get to know the team. Afterwards, an aperitif will be served in the presence of your tour leader, who will be on hand to offer advice and a friendly introduction to your stay. In the evening, you can relax and enjoy a meal served in our restaurant from 7.30pm.
A briefing with your mountain leader is scheduled for 6.15pm.


▶ Day 2 - Day 2: Col de la Pare 2155m - Balcon de la Meije
Before setting off on your hike, our mountain leader will provide you with all the equipment you need: TSL snowshoes and trekking poles, as well as a transceiver, probe and shovel.
We'll start with a "warm-up" day to discover, at your own pace, an exceptional panorama of the Meije massif.
A steady climb from the hotel will take us to this small pass between two valleys. On this route we'll have the opportunity to observe the fauna: roe deer, chamois, large birds of prey...

Elevation gain: 500m

▶ Day 3 - Le Clôt des Vaches 2278 m - Au Royaume du bouquetin
A round-trip day in the heart of the Cerces massif. This route takes us close to the new Monêtier communal refuge and its view of the Barre des Ecrins. Ibex observation. Notions of geology.
We pass close to the new Clos des Vaches refuge.
Elevation gain: 570m
Effective walking time excluding break and picnic: 4h to 4h30
Overall duration of the day: 6h30 to 7h

▶ Day 4 - Cote rouge circuit through the forest 2277m - (Must-do)
This day will take place on the adret facing the Meije and its glaciers, with the first part evolving in the forest.
This "traversée" route offers a beautiful panorama from the north of the Ecrins massif to the Grandes Rousses massif.
We'll take advantage of the passage through the hamlet of Clots to develop a theme on the traditional architecture of the Haute Romanche.
Difference in altitude (positive and negative): 470m + / 520m -.

This day's hiking will be followed by our New Year's Eve party to welcome 2026 in style.
On the program: a festive and convivial atmosphere with an aperitif served around the bar, a country-style concert with "That's My Girl" and a festive menu with sweet and savory flavors.
