Snowshoeing is the winter sport that most closely resembles walking, and with snowshoes there's no need to stay on the trail - on the contrary, you're guaranteed an adventure in the great outdoors.
Névache is a village in the Southern Alps between Italy and Briançon. Névache offers the sunshine of the south with the snow of the north.
As you leave the valley each day, you'll discover a new setting: the hamlet of Acles nestled in its valley where the houses are covered in a white blanket of snow;
The Haute Vallée with its succession of summer pasture hamlets and chapels; the Thures plateau bordered by its peaks... And here, you're sure to come across ibex, roe deer, chamois or, why not, a wolf! Your guide will show you their tracks in the snow.
And in the evening, the fitness area awaits you, with sauna, hammam or storvatt, the outdoor whirlpool bath that keeps you in touch with nature.
PROGRAM
Day 01 :
Meet in the afternoon at the hotel in Névache. Check-in.
In the evening, welcome drink, dinner and presentation of the week.
Day 02:
Either 2 half-days or a short day on the Col de l'Echelle plateau, a beautiful wild cirque.
150 to 200 m ascent 10 to 15 km 4 to 5 hours' walk
Days 03, 05, 06:
Day hikes in the various valleys of Basse or Haute Clarée.
Your guide will choose a hike according to the level of the participants, the weather and the snow conditions:
* the Acles valley
* the Thures valley
* vallon de Buffère
* the Granon valley
* Haute Vallée de la Clarée
400 to 800 m ascent 4 to 6 h walking.
Day 04 :
Half-day in the morning on the Balcons de Névache or in the Creuset valley.
2h30 walking time
Day 07 :
End of stay after breakfast.
