Stay Mountain cocktail with family in Névache - L'Échaillon

An active but gentle holiday in the Hautes-Alpes, which are intended to be «the ELDORADO» of outdoor activities, hiking, mountain biking, whitewater and climbing. And it is from the valley that you "zapperez" on our program: climbing and summer biathlon, high altitude lakes in Clarée, mountain biking from Fontcouverte to Briançon to finish as the Tour de France in the fortified old town, rafting on the Durance and discovery of a mountain refuge with views of the glaciers of the Meije and Ecrins. This stay is intended to be sporty but the activities will be adapted to the level of each and will start from the «discovery» level.

This stay can be combined with our «Discovery mountain» for the little ones (from 5 years).

Day 1: welcome and installation
Welcome at the Échaillon in the afternoon. In the evening, during a welcome drink, an information meeting is held to present you with your week’s activities with the instructors.
Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: hiking in the upper Clarée valley
To start this stay, we propose a hike on foot, to get to know us better. Discovery of the lakes of the Haute Vallée de la Clarée. We address several themes: orientation, fauna, flora, the glaciers of the Hautes-Alpes and history, with the Forts de Vauban. You will enjoy the Wellness Area, to relax on your return from this hike.
Picnic lunch and dinner at the hotel.
4 to 6 hours of walking, 500 to 800 m difference in altitude.

Day 3: optional climbing and rafting
In the morning, during the climbing activity, you learn or review the manipulations of the ropes. Your guide will help you individually according to your level.
Lunch at the hotel
In the afternoon, we suggest a good refreshment with 2h rafting on the Durance (optional activity).
Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: MTB along the Clarée
It’s off for a day of downhill biking (with some false plates and small climbs!) along the Clarée to Briançon, where we visit its old town, its gargoyle and its forts. Several stops allow the most experienced to try their hand on the "bosses and hollow" course.
Picnic lunch at noon.
The Wellness Area is still very much awaited after this day of cycling.

Day 5: summer biathlon and night at the Refuge du Chardonnet
In Névache, we have ski instructors who are passionate about biathlon, and they will make you discover this activity in the summer! Without skis and on the grass. Playful atmosphere ensured on the firing pad like the champions. Picnic in the valley then you pick up your backpack at the hotel to climb to the refuge of Chardonnet in a beautiful circus in the middle of the alpine pastures.
Day 6: hike and end of stay
After a morning wake, we go higher to be able to admire the glaciers up close and maybe see chamois. Picnic at noon.
We descend on Nevache in the afternoon.
The stay ends around 4pm.

VERY IMPORTANT: the management reserves the right to modify the program for any reason (weather conditions, availability of activities, technical level of participants...) in order to improve your stay.

Level :

Good physical condition required and, above all, a high level of motivation for all activities, which will be adapted to each person's level for hiking, climbing and biathlon
For mountain biking, you must already have done some, or at least know how to ride a bike. For rafting, you need to be able to swim at least 25m and be able to immerse yourself. For young people aged 10 and over.
