From January to February, enjoy a weekend discovering all there is to truffles, the jewel of gastronomy in Provence, at the Château de Massillan which follows an organic, eco-friendly way of living, at the heart of the Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards.
"The stay includes a full programme:
- Visiting the truffle market at Richerenches followed by a winemaker’s lunch featuring the traditional truffle omelette at the Domaine de la Guicharde, led by the head chef at Château de Massillan.
The winemaker will pair a selection of his wines to taste with the lunch, which he has made following biodynamic principles in the Uchaux Massif.
- Afternoon, discovering the black diamond at a truffle grower’s, from how truffles grow in ""truffières"", or truffle patches, to the “cavage”, or truffle hunting to harvest the truffles with dogs.
- Back to the castle to enjoy a night in one of the rooms and suites looking out onto the Massillan nature.
- The following morning, the programme continues with picking vegetables in the hotel’s organic vegetable garden followed by a cooking class focused on truffles and a well-deserved truffle-tasting lunch!
There is an opportunity to treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the Bio Spa."
