An institution founded in 1895
The history of the Valescure golf course is intimately linked to the tourist past of the French Riviera, which in the XIXth century was a privileged destination for rich English tourists seduced by the beauty and climate of the South of France.
The golf course was founded in 1895 by British aristocrats and gentlemen. Its first president was Lord Stuart Rendel, a major personality of the United Kingdom, and its main promoter was Amédée de Guerville, who gave it its first 18-hole course in the early 1910s.
This venerable institution has never ceased to modernize to meet the demands and expectations of golfers. Today, amateurs and professional sportsmen and women come from all over the world to enjoy the course, the setting and the services of the golf course.
