At 50, Mathieu Ghis calls himself a "young" beekeeper, having been in the profession for just 3 years.
After completing a training course and obtaining a farm operator's certificate, Mathieu bought the hives of a retiring beekeeper, and embarked on his new life! Careful to set up the hives in an unspoilt environment, he pampers them and harvests their different honeys as the seasons go by. The hives are sold exclusively on the local market.
For Mathieu Ghis, the next step is to build an ecological honey house in his village to welcome visitors and give his commitment an educational value.
