Domaine Aspras

Domaine des Aspras is located in Correns, in Provence Verte, at the northern limit of the Côtes de Provence appellation. This geographical location means that the grapes are exposed to the autumn sun for longer, and therefore harvest later. The estate covers 32 hectares of vines with an average age of 20 years.

The story of Domaine des Aspras began over 60 years ago, when Gottfried and Lisa Latz returned from Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo. For them, learning about wine was a passionate and patient process. Little by little, they took on the character of this land in the Argens valley, surrounded by white limestone hills.

Their son, Michaël, an agricultural engineer, is the second-generation winemaker. He sees wine as a gift from the land, a know-how that is passed down from generation to generation, and one that must be made with respect for the environment, hence the choice of organic farming.

Wine is first and foremost an encounter between people and the land, which then becomes a moment of complicity, respect and sharing. For over 25 years, he has passed on these values to the third generation: his three sons Raphaël, Sébastien and Alexandre.
