In 1936, after the region was given the AOC label, and under the leadership of my great-grandfather, Paul Jourdan, the Clos was renamed "Domaine Chante Cigale".
Through the seasons, generations of lovers of the land and sunshine have expanded the property over more than 45 parcels of land in the finest districts of Châteauneuf-du-Pape: Boucou, Gallimardes, Pignan, Côte de l'Ange, Tresquoy, Cabrières, Pied Long, Calada, Bois Dauphins...
We also have ten other parcels of land 15 kilometres north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the Côtes du Rhône Old Vines and Les Apostrophes are produced.
Each year, to optimise the maturity of the 13 grape varieties grown on all the land, no less than six weeks of manual harvesting takes place, ensuring the magic of the Domaine Chante Cigale wines.

Through an artistic work respecting the traditions, I work on the land in my village, where this noble wine, the epitome of French wine, is produced.
