The Chante-Perdrix estate was founded by Etienne Pécoul in 1896. After Henri and Guy Nicolet, Frédéric and Franck Nicolet today manage the 20 hectares all around their property.
On average, 550 hectolitres of red wine are produced a year, and 30 hectolitres of white wine.
The vines have an average age of 45 years, and are in the southern part of the appellation on the famous pebbles rolled by the River Rhone. There is a high percentage of Grenache, blended with Syrah, Mouvèdre and some Muscardin, resulting in powerful wines that are strong in alcohol and have an intense ruby colour.
