Domaine de Galuval

On the Rhône Valley wine route, just ten minutes from Orange, Domaine de Galuval nestles between the villages of Cairanne and Rasteau, between sun-drenched hillsides and plains of fragrant garrigue. It's a site full of color and relief, under the benevolence of Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. Domaine de Galuval is one of Cairanne's oldest winegrowing estates. With its 49 hectares, the Domaine's vineyards cover several Côtes du Rhône appellations, including the Crus Cairanne and Rasteau.

Cairanne and Rasteau offer a unique panorama of the spectacular geography and geology of the southern Rhône Valley. These two villages boast a rare concentration of very distinct geological terroirs. There are three main terroirs: the Montagne de Ventabren, with its steep, sunny slopes; the vast garrigue terraces of the Vallée de la Gayère; and the round, verdant Collines de Rasteau.
