In 1912, Eugène MARET bought Domaine de la Charbonnière for his wife, who was born in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and was the daughter of a local winemaker.
Their son, Fernand MARET, inherited part of the estate and expanded it on the birth of his son, Michel. He grew up to be a passionate winemaker and took over the family estate.
In 2004, the estate was renamed EARL Michel Maret et Filles, announcing the arrival at Domaine de la Charbonnière of Caroline and Véronique, Michel’s two daughters.
Caroline took charge of the administrative aspects, managing orders and welcoming visitors… In 2009, Véronique began working on the estate and looked after exports and the winemaking process. Their parents still help them on the estate (in the vines, with day-to-day management, etc.).
Little by little, the estate has expanded, with each generation adding a new stone to the edifice.
A range of red Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines: 2 terroir wines (Mourre des Perdrrix, Les Hautes Brusquières), 1 Old Vines selection.
