27-hectare estate producing AOP Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. Wine cellar for sales opposite the post office. Free tastings.
Domaine des Sénéchaux is among the oldest vineyards in "Castro Novo", a focal point for Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines and the creation of the AOP label.
At the heart of the illustrious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the Domaine des Sénéchaux dates from the 14th century. It takes its name from the main parcels of land on the estate, located in the Bois Sénéchaux district.
In 2006, the Cazes family, the owners of Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, acquired the Domaine des Sénéchaux.
With energy and commitment, the Cazes family has continued the efforts made since 1998 by Bernard Tranchecoste. After large-scale work on renovating the vineyards, the family has taken special care over the old vines of Grenache, symbols of the estate’s longevity. The estate produces full-bodied red wines, as well as fleshy and aromatic white wines, both reflecting the richness of their respective "terroirs".
