The fruit of a long line of winemakers from father to son for four centuries in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Boisson family welcome visitors to their estate and wine-tasting cellar to share their passion for wine during wine-tastings.

In the Châteauneuf du Pape area, the Domaine du Père Caboche vineyards are covered with rolled pebbles, with the highest density in the 17 hectares situated in the famous area of La Crau.

The vineyard is carefully supervised by the Boisson family with the support of the Vaucluse Chamber of Agriculture to adapt their work in a responsible way based on weekly observations of the parcels of land. Working the soil around the vines takes precedence over the use of weed-killers, with a global approach to the soil now making a comeback. The use of organic matter means the structure and the microbial life of the soils are improved. This determination to reduce the use of pesticides is rooted in Emilie Boisson’s strategy for protecting and managing the vineyard, and she spends a good deal of time and energy applying and developing it in favour of greater respect for the environment and human health.
