Domaine Le Puy du Maupas

I took over Puy du Maupas from my parents, and our aim is to maintain the family spirit while refining our way of working. The whole farm is managed organically, which is fully in line with our way of thinking about our profession: observing, supporting and allowing the land to express itself.

We spend a lot of time in the vineyards: that's where it's all about. We try to cultivate a natural balance, to understand each plot and each vintage, so as to intervene as little as possible, but at the right time.

In the cellar, I favor a gentle, patient approach. I allow fermentation to proceed at its own pace, avoid unnecessary manipulation and seek to preserve what the vines have produced: openness, fruit and the most faithful expression of our terroir possible.
I don't have a "recipe"; rather, I try to listen to what the vintage has to offer and guide the wine in that direction.

The estate is also managed on a mixed farming basis. We have olive trees, which enable us to offer olive oil as well as spreads and olives in brine or in sachets. We have also planted pomegranate and pistachio trees, which should come into production in one or two years' time. This diversity brings an additional balance to the estate and nourishes the way we work on a daily basis.
