The Domaine Pey Neuf in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer had low beginnings when it started 30 years ago with just few vine stocks.
Today, Pey Neuf has grown up very well with about 50 hectares and with half of them certified PDO Bandol, a cellar rich of the best materials to bring you all the beauty and the wealth of Pey Neuf wines. The grape varieties of the vineyard are Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, Carigan, Vermentino, Grenache blanc, Clairette, Ugni blanc and Sauvignon.
WINES
* Rosé – PDO Bandol
Pale pink colour with brilliant and salmon reflections, fine nose with fruity and floral notes. Elegant and round in the mouth, aromas of English candy.
* Red Old Vines – PDO Bandol
"Thick red colour with purple reflections, nose of red fruit aromas, leather and spices. It is light in the mouth, even in its youth. It is full, elegant, with silky tannins and a beautiful structure".
* White - IGP Mont Caume
Quoted by the best oenological guides and regularly rewarded in competitions, this wine with a white colour and sea-green reflections has a very aromatic nose of grapefruit, round and fat in the mouth with a beautiful persistence.
VISITS AND TASTING
* Paid testing: “Introduction to tasting” formula: Bandol wines on quote or by appointment all year-round.
* Meeting groups: Tasting for groups from €3, only by appointment
* Sale of the handmade production: olive oil from the winery, eggs from the family henhouse, fruits and vegetables cultivated not far from here, in their beautiful vegetable garden. Tomatoes, courgettes, peppers, aubergines, melons and watermelons. Corine Arnaud had the great idea of opening its garden to her guests who can make up their fresh basket.
* Sail of local products: delicious home-made gingerbreads with figs or chocolate chips are sold along with tapenades, anchovies, jams, terrines, fresh cheese or Marseille soap all made in Provence.
