On the heights of the Provencal hinterland, below the small village of Correns, lies Domaine Saint Andrieu. In 2003, Jean-Paul and Nancy Bignon, who also own Château Talbot, a Saint-Julien grand cru classé in the Médoc, were seduced by this majestic landscape, in a completely unspoilt natural setting, untouched by urban development.
As soon as they acquired this exceptional property, they embarked on an ambitious renovation and restructuring program to restore it to its former splendor, with full respect for nature.
In addition to the beauty and purity of the site, the estate has a number of assets conducive to vine-growing: it has numerous springs, including the eponymous Saint Andrieu spring, and culminates at an altitude of 380 metres, giving it a more continental microclimate.
Over 26 hectares are devoted to vines. The wines produced benefit from two appellations contrôlées, Côtes de Provence and Coteaux Varois en Provence, offering a complete range in all three colors. The estate also produces AOC Provence olive oil.
Respect for nature and the land symbolizes the philosophy of Domaine Saint Andrieu. We practice viticulture that protects the terroir and promotes the optimal expression of vines and olive trees. Since June 2017, we have been HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certified, recognized by the French Ministry of Agriculture for the environmental performance of winegrowers.
HVE is based on results indicators relating to biodiversity, phytosanitary strategy, fertilization and irrigation management. This certification supports our philosophy of respect for the earth and ecosystems.
