- The GAEC du Caïre has set up its educational farm in Saint-Michel de Chaillol, in the Écrins National Park. Here, ewes, lambs, goats, chickens and rabbits are pampered in an environment conducive to their development. The animal world becomes familiar, fascinating and touching for young and old alike.
The care given to the animals and the respect for nature bear witness to a voluntary and sustainable approach. Sheep rearing is the main activity on this farm, which is in the process of converting to organic farming. The flocks graze peacefully in the fresh air of the Champsaur meadows. As a result, the GAEC du Caïre supplies 100% local meat, with the "Agneau de Sisteron" label. A production that preserves the quality and identity of the terroir.
