The family at the Domaine du Clos des Cazaux has been producing wine for five generations. The estate covers 48 hectares, 24 of which are Vacqueyras PDO, 20 are Gigondas PDO and 4 are Côtes du Rhône PDO.
Gabriel Archimbaud, the ancestor of the current winemakers, was one of the first to sell Vacqueyras in bottles with the name of the village and the property at the beginning of the 20th century. The estate is now run by Jean-Michel and Frédéric Vache.
The annual production is 130,000 bottles from plot selections. Half is sold in France in the traditional network and at the estate's tasting cellar, the other half goes abroad.
