Welcome to the Bâtie Neuve Equestrian Farm Our equestrian farm is located in the Grand Vallon valley in the heart of the Hautes Terres de Provence, a region north of the Alpes de Haute Provence.
On our farm we run an orchard of fruit trees (apples, pears, plums, cherries), and a garden of small red fruits (raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, blackberries) in small quantities. The natural and wild environment bears witness to the splendour and magic of the place. In summer the Mediterranean climate dominates, while the rigours of winter bring us closer to the Alpine climate. The 300 days of sunshine per year make it one of the brightest regions in France. The climate we enjoy (Alpine and Provençal) guarantees perfect fruit ripening in summer, as well as the rest of the crops in winter (temperatures from -10° to -15°), which favours the healthy growth of the fruit trees and protects them from disease. We thus obtain fruit with an excellent taste, "typical" of the production of the high mountain valleys. Our plants are fortified with a compost of horse manure, natural plant extracts and rock powders. In this way we favour the cultivation of small red berries from the undergrowth. We control the watering by a drip system which ensures a regular growth of our plants, guarantees healthy fruits, with a taste close to wild fruits, avoids diseases, weeds and mushrooms. The fruit is carefully harvested by hand and rigorously selected. We only process fruit from our farm that is in perfect condition. They are cooked very briefly in a cauldron to preserve the aromas and the authentic taste of these fruits ripe under the sun of Provence and picked at the right time. We propose you: JAMS AND JELLIES WALNUT WINE
