For Lucie and Florian, lavender growing is a familial tradition. This is why they quite naturally reimplanted the small blue flower in Orpierre, their childhood land. They produce and distil lavender and lavandin (another species of lavender).

In its reception/discovery area, La Lavanderaie des Hautes Baronnies invites you to learn more about this flower, which is emblematic of the region, and offers a whole range of lavender-based products: essential oils, candles, dried flowers, and more.

Educational trail with a children's booklet, free to visit on opening days.

Guided tours can be booked by phone and at the tourist offices in Orpierre, Laragne, Sisteron, and Serres.

Lavender-themed tours are available during the flowering season from late June to early August.

The shop is open from early April to late September and on request outside the season.

Deeply attached to the nature and traditions of their native lands, Lucie and Florian relaunched the family business in 2015. La lavanderaie des Hautes Baronnies is located 3 km from Orpierre in the heart of the Baronnies provençales, their childhood territory. Here, growing lavender is a passion that has been passed down from generation to generation!
Concerned with respecting the know-how of their ancestors and the balance of nature, this farming couple is actively working to convert their cultivation to Organic Agriculture. For them, fine lavender and lavandin hold no secrets. They develop all their virtues in the form of bouquets, floral waters, essential oils... A tour of the farm takes visitors right to the heart of this traditional activity.
