Property of the Tempier family since 1834, the vineyard obtained its first gold medal in 1885 under the impulse of the grandmother Léonie who had the first cellar built.
Located in the heart of the Bandol Appellation, the 38 hectares of the Tempier estate are spread over several parcels - between the sea and steep slopes flooded with light.

Tempier is one of the few vineyard and family houses from the mid-19th century that has retained all its authenticity. Here, at the estate, we live, as we always have, to the rhythm of the seasons, of the work in the vineyard, of the harvest...

The Tempier estate is made up of a mosaic of terroirs, the main ones being La Migoua in Le Beausset-Vieux, La Tourtine and Cabassaou in Le Castellet and the bastide in Le Plan du Castellet. The bastide is the soul of the estate, whose tall cypress trees float like the masts of a ship over the surrounding vines, but it is also the soul of the Peyraud family. Lucien Peyraud, "the precursor of Mourvèdre" was at the helm of Tempier from 1941 to 1982. He was succeeded by his two sons François and Jean-Marie, and then by Daniel Ravier, who is now the director of the estate.
