Skiing and other winter sports in Chaillol
The resort of Chaillol is famous for being very sunny thanks to its southern orientation. In winter, the ski area of Chaillol offers to skiers and snowboarders, beginners or confirmed, different green, blue and red slopes accessible by the ski lifts. The sunny snow front is perfect for children and beginners to practice on the snow. If you wish, you can take private or group lessons at the Chaillol ESF (French Ski School) with qualified instructors. You can choose between alpine skiing, snowboarding, ski touring, “snake gliss” and biathlon lessons. The Piou Piou club will welcome the youngest. The start of the ski slopes is just above the village of Saint Michel de Chaillol, 1,600 meters above sea level. The Clot Chenu chairlift takes you to the ski area located 2,000 meters above sea level. It is equipped with snow cannons to guarantee the best conditions for skiing or snowboarding.
You can also go cross-country ski hiking, snowshoeing, or even dog sledding to discover the incredible landscapes and enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley.
