a Nordic and mountain domain in Mercantour National Park

Welcome to Estenc-Entraunes ski resort, a treasure of the Alpes-Maritimes area located inside Mercantour National Park. Estenc-Entraunes in summer, a haven for hikers

In summer, the snow gives way to lush vegetation, ideal for an escapade in nature. Set out from the quaint little village of Entraunes through meadows and black marl up to the gorge near Plateau d’Estenc – water springs from here to supply the Vararea. Waterfalls, abandoned farms and little chapels offer moving reminders of life in this wild valley in days gone by. On the way, you may well come across chamois, ibex goats and marmots peering at you from afar. On the heights, the Pont du Diable arches over a torrent bubbling out of the glacier. A raw experience in the kingdomofnature.

Roam Estenc-Entraunes in every season

The Alpes Maritimes is a hub of typical mountain produce: savour a delicious blueberrytart made with fruit gathered in the underwoods… Simply succulent! You’ll also find lots of blueberryjam here to spread on your morning baguette or flavour your yoghurts.
Estenc and Entraunes are iconic mountain villages criss-crossed with paved lanes, steeped in a soothing, countrified atmosphere. The site’s religious legacy is remarkable and features several chapels, ancient paintings and historic objects. Various exhibitions are open to the public: Cavexpo on local heritage, Le Lavoir on Alpine flora and the old Town Hall on boundary stones. Whether you’re a fan of history, fine arts or natural sciences, the Alpes Maritimes is a priceless hub of heritage, also offering museums for every taste.
