Le Lure ski resort is located in the town of Saint Etienne les Orgues, north of Forcalquier, in the Alpes de Haute Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. This is a great family resort. It offers a breathtaking landscape at an altitude of 1,600 meters in the Monts de Vaucluse massif. Skiing and snowshoeing in the Lure ski resort

At the start of the Grand Pin ski lift, you will have access to 250 meters of green slope to try downhill skiing. The routes of the Pré du Fau (6 kilometers) and the Charbonnières (4 kilometers) are also very pleasant and accessible for a walk in the mountains. The sportspersons will be able to go trailing on both the northern and southern slopes of the Lure mountain. Indeed, the Jabron Valley and the Lure Mountain offer many reliefs and great trailing itineraries.

In summer, the resort of Lure is a great place to go biking and mountain biking. A 200-meter trail with footbridges and bumps has been set up for the general public, from 6 years old. The trail is a good place to learn mountain biking or scooter riding while enjoying the pleasures of downhill riding. Cycling enthusiasts can try to ascend the track up to the Signal de Lure to get to the summit of the Lure mountain, located at 1,826 meters of altitude.

In the Lure resort, you will find only one restaurant. It serves family and local cuisine in a friendly setting. You will find many shops not far from the resort and bike rentals in the surrounding villages.

Accommodation

For a night or more in the Lure resort, you can stop at the Crêtes de Lure halt. It is located in the resort at an altitude of 1,600 meters and on the GR6, it welcomes visitors in its different dormitories. If you go a little further away from the resort, you will find hotels and other accommodations.
