Things to do in Puy-Saint-Vincent if the weather is bad

Ideas of activities for when it rains or snows, or if it’s very cold

Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking or trail… At the gateway to the Écrins National Park, Puy-Saint-Vincent is a real playground for outdoor sports enthusiasts. With a spa, an activity complex and teatime in the woody decor of a mountain chalet, the resort also has some lovely surprises when the weather is bad.

Relax in the well-being area of Hôtel l’Aiglière

Or at the pool

So the weather isn’t great for an outdoor activity? Here’s a good opportunity to relax and take care of yourself. In winter and in summer, Hôtel l’Aiglière opens the doors of its spa, including to non-residents (prior booking required). In the relaxation area, you can enjoy the benefits of the sauna (excellent for relaxing your muscles), the hammam (well-known for eliminating toxins) and the jacuzzi (helps blood circulation). And even book yourself a massage. If you’re feeling more athletic, be tempted by a few lengths in the 28°C water of the heated outdoor pool of the swimming pool in Puy-Saint-Vincent.

Burn some energy bowling

Ice skating or climbing at Le Panoramic

In Puy-Saint-Vincent, rainy days become happy days for sports and leisure enthusiasts, thanks to the Le Panoramic activity centre. Try your hand at a strike in one of the four bowling alleys and have fun with the family or friends in the area dedicated to arcade games (with billiards, karaoke and blind test, and also pinball or table football). Le Panoramic also has a synthetic skating rink for ecological skating! – and an indoor climbing wall comprised of 40 climbing walls, suited to all levels and ages.

Have some delicious mountain honey

For tea

Honey from the Alps is as tasty as it is comforting. And that’s even more true when it’s served for tea in a cosy chalet in golden wood and stone overlooking the Vallouise valley. Managed by Juliana Clermont and Jérémy Chaud, harvesting beekeepers in Organic Farming, La Maison du Miel offers treats, bread with honey or jam, pastries (blueberry or raspberry tartlets, cinnamon rolls, amandins…) and honey ice cream in the summer. To take away or eat on the spot, warm and cosy beside the fire in winter and on the sunny terrace in summer. La Maison du Miel is also home to a bee museum, with animated visits for the children who can also take part in a candlemaking workshop.
