Calanque of port d'Alon

Under the pine trees, the small Calanque of Port d’Alon is a real haven of peace in the heart of a sumptuous, wooded and preserved coastline. Swimming, scuba diving, lazing on the pebble beach or a gourmet break on the terrace at “Tonton Ju’s”, you will spend an unforgettable day in the Calanque of Port d’Alon between sea, sky and sun.

A cove between sea and nature

Shaded by a pine forest, planted with groves of holm oaks, agaves and prickly pears, the Port d’Alon cove has preserved all the magic of the southern Provence landscape. Here, the song of the cicadas is in tune with the murmur of the waves, the shade of the Aleppo pines and the gentle sea breeze make the warm sunlight all the more pleasant.

The pebbled beach at the end of the cove of Port d’Alon can accommodate your towel for the day. You can also retreat to a more secluded spot under the trees. Large flat areas offer other adventure grounds for children to explore.

On the sea side, the beauty of the Mediterranean awaits you. Swimming is the favourite activity of many tourists. You can also try snorkelling or scuba diving. Snorkelling trips are also organised in season, to discover the marine environment.

Hiking and nature activities

The customs officers used to watch over the Mediterranean coasts, which were ideal for smuggling with their numerous creeks. From the Madrague de Saint-Cyr to Port d’Alon, the coastal path follows a dizzying route, which dominates the sea and offers a breathtaking view of the open sea, from the Cap Sicié Massif in the east to the Riou Archipelago in the west. The numerous rocky coves are invitations to swim.

Part of the path has recently been closed for safety reasons. We invite you to contact the Tourist Office of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer for information on access to the entire coastal path.

You can also reach Port d’Alon from the Madrague de Saint-Cyr by taking the vineyard path, which follows an inland route. You walk partly in the shade, under the pine trees, through the vineyards and olive groves of the Bastide de la Narlette. This vineyard is still in use today, under the auspices of the Conservatoire du Littoral.

Other paths radiate out from Port d’Alon, winding through the valleys, shaded by pine trees, to lead you to discreet little coves.

The winding roads and tracks of the region are ideal for cycling and mountain biking. Both amateurs and experienced sportsmen can live their passion for cycling to the full here!
