The Verdon

The Verdon Regional Nature Park is made up of extraordinarily diverse landscapes, which can be classified into seven large areas: the Gorges du Verdon, the Artuby, the hills of the Haut-Var, the lakes and mountains, the lake of Sainte-Croix, the lower gorges, the Valensole plateau, where lavender and wheat are grown… The Park has been designed to allow the practice of outdoor activities, while ensuring the protection of ecosystems… Sports and activities such as walking, cycling, horse riding, via ferrata, paragliding, tree climbing… are practiced here.

The medieval villages of the Verdon are a reminder of a human occupation several thousand years old. During your visits, you will be able to admire historical milestones, wells, fountains, wash houses, oppidums… Agropastoralism is practiced in the Verdon. Markets and grocery stores will allow you to discover local products: honey, gingerbread, mountain cheeses, lamb meat, market garden and farm products, olives, olive oil…
