A remarkable rural heritage
in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence , each valley has its own unique terroir and know-how. Several museums will offer you original cultural activities. Visit for example the Middle Verdon Museum of Castellane, the Ecomuseum of the Forge of Seyne-les-Alpes, the Museum of Meyronnes, the Museum of Religious Art of Digne-les-Bains, the Museum of Forcalquier, the Gallo-Roman Museum of Saint-Martin-de-Brômes…
The Luberon Regional Natural Park
The Luberon Regional Nature Park owes its popularity to its remarkable natural areas. Between cultivated areas and forests, valleys and hills, you will be able to discover various natural areas. Walking through the Park, you can admire a rich fauna of 270 different species of vertebrates (mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish…). If you are lucky, you may for example see rare birds of prey such as the Egyptian vulture or Bonelli’s eagle, or more discreet birds such as the spring wagtail. The Luberon can also be discovered by taking the Voie Verte du Calavon. From Robion to Castellet, this 37-kilometre cycle path has taken over an old railway line. The villages each have a real charm. Some of them have been awarded the label of the most beautiful villages in France: Ansouis, Ménerbes, Gordes, Lourmarin and Roussillon.
