East of the city of Nice and Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu-sur-Mer is a welcoming and popular seaside resort on the French Riviera. The various beaches of this very touristic destination attract sea and sunbathing enthusiasts and offer many water sports activities.

La Baie des Fourmis
Located under the sumptuous gardens of the Casino, the Baie des Fourmis (Ants Bay) is a family beach, sheltered from the wind. It offers an unobstructed view of Villa Kérylos, a reconstitution of an ancient Greek residence that stands out against the blue sky of the French Riviera. These remarkable landscapes inspired Alain Souchon and Laurent Voulzy, who pay a vibrant tribute to it with the song “La Baie des Fourmis”. A small port contributes to the charm of the place.
A first aid station is open to monitor swimming in the summer. Sanitary facilities and showers are also accessible. It is also possible to rent a mattress to bask comfortably in the sun.
La Petite Afrique
By taking the road to Monaco, at the exit of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, you discover the beach of Petite Afrique. 400 meters long and composed of gravel, it is lined with umbrella pines that provide pleasant shade. A playground has been set up for children. A first-aid post is open during the summer season, and toilets and showers are available to holidaymakers. Waterfront bungalows and restaurants allow you to discover a delicious cuisine. The only weak point of this paradisiacal place? Parking in the heart of summer is difficult.
The creek of the Reserve
The creek of the Reserve is actually composed of two small creeks lined with pebbles. Located between the port of Beaulieu-sur-Mer and the hotel La Réserve, they are little known by tourists and not very crowded. Wild, the creeks do not have any particular tourist facilities (no sanitary facilities, no first-aid post, no WC…).
Water Activities
Swimming and tanning sessions are not the only activities this resort offers. Paddling, for example, is an activity suitable for vacationers of all ages. It is possible to rent paddles or take a lesson. There are also paddleboats, kayaks and canoes for rent. The seaside resort also has more exciting activities: jet-ski, flyboard, wakeboard, windsurf, kitesurf, water skiing, parasailing, flyfish… Diving schools introduce vacationers to scuba diving. The straw huts have very different atmospheres: lively or family, with a simple or luxurious setting… You can have lunch there, rent a mattress.
