The Préalpes of the French Riviera Park
Between sun and mountains, the French Riviera and the Mercantour massif, the Regional Natural Park of the Préalpes of the French Riviera offers territories of great variety with mountains, hills, deep gorges, forests and agricultural valleys. Under the sun of the Préalpes d’Azur grow and flower more than 2000 species of flora, 65 of which are protected and 40 endemic species. Numerous animals have also made their home in the heart of the Préalpes of Azure: ladder tichodrome, golden eagle, Jean-le-Blanc circaet, white-fronted redbird, red-backed shrike, white-footed crayfish, Strinatii’s hydromant, numerous species of bats… Nature is also a great playground for lovers of outdoor activities.
