Nordic vacations
The highest village in the Alpes-Maritimes offers an exceptional Nordic area, with 50 kilometers of marked itineraries dedicated to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Ski touring enthusiasts can climb the Col de la Braïssa, Mont Aunos, Croix de Carlé or Col de la Moutière.
Mercantour National Park
The Mercantour massif was born from the marriage between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps. Six valleys with well-soaked characters make up this remarkable territory. Travel through the valleys of the Verdon, the Var, the Ubaye, the Roya-Bévéra, the Vésubie and the Tinée. You will be able to practise many nature leisure activities, alone or in couple, with your children or between friends. The territories of the Mercantour lend themselves well to walking. You will also be able to crisscross the roads of the Mercantour by bicycle, to defy the void by trying your hand at climbing or horse riding… Every winter, the Mercantour mountains are covered with a white blanket of snow. Choosing the Mercantour in the winter season allows you to practice various activities such as downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, dog sledding, snowmobiling… Men have been present on these lands for tens of thousands of years and have handed down to us a rich historical heritage: wells, fountains, wash houses, chapels, oratories, churches, grain mills, irrigation canals, bridges, fortifications of the Maginot Line of the Alps…
