Camargue Bull Races

Held across a region stretching from Montpellier to the south of Avignon, Camargue bull races originate from an age-old tradition. Raseteurs (bullfighters) compete daringly to remove the ribbons attached to the horns of the prized Camargue bulls.
These bull games are an integral part of Provençal tradition. In Camargue bull races, the bulls are not killed, and no blood is shed: the bull returns to its herd after the bull games.

Camargue bull races are regularly organized in the arenas of Châteaurenard.
