Les Alpilles
Located between the Rhône and Durance valleys, the Alpilles massif has a remarkable biodiversity. Between wetlands and scrubland, men occupy this territory which is 30 kilometers long and about 10 kilometers wide. The Alpilles can be ideally discovered on foot, on horseback or by bike. The picturesque villages, which for a long time lived off the cultivation of vines and olive trees, now seduce tourists. Antiquity and the Middle Ages have handed down to history some of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Alpilles, such as the archaeological site of Glanum, the castle of King René in Tarascon and the castle of Les Baux.
