The village of Trets faces the southern slope of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, a real limestone island rising into the sky of Provence. At an altitude of 1,011 meters, Mont Sainte-Victoire was painted many times by the painter Paul Cézanne.

Museums and monuments around Trets

The village of Trets is located near the town of Aix en Provence. Here you can visit a number of museums: the Granet Museum, the Vasarely Foundation, the Pavillon Vendôme, Paul Cézanne’s studio, the Musée du Vieil-Aix…

Trets lies south of the Sainte-Victoire mountain range, between Aix-en-Provence and Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, and is easily accessible via the A8 freeway.
