Gap Markets

The first city of the Hautes-Alpes is located in an exceptional territory. The Gapençais markets are a unique opportunity to discover the local products and the local handicrafts: taste the apples from the orchards of the Durance valley, the tomes and the mountain charcuterie of the Dévoluy or Valgaudemar, the tourtons and the other specialities of the Champsaur, admire the knives, the furniture and the objects of the local craftsmen…

The saturday market

One of the largest markets in the department settles every Saturday morning in the shopping streets of the historic center of Gap. Gapençais, Gapençaises and visitors passing through can discover many regional products: fruits and vegetables, cheeses, hams, sausages, farm eggs, honeys, jams, pies and local specialties such as the “oreilles d’âne” or tourtons. Exhibitors also offer clothing and various accessories.
