Villar-Loubière

Tourism and travel guide

A tourist destination in the Hautes-Alpes, the small village of Villar-Loubière was built in the luminous landscapes of the Massif des Écrins. You want a peaceful vacation, and you want to revitalize yourself away from the noise? The village of Villar-Loubière offers you a refuge.

Nature activities await the whole family in this Valgaudemar village. The village is the starting point of many hiking trails, with itineraries suitable for both sportsmen and amateurs. Various activities are also offered in the Massif des Écrins: ultralight flying, climbing, tree climbing, via ferrata, mountaineering

Influenced by the nearby Italy, enhancing an exceptional terroir, the gastronomy of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur is a tourist attraction in its own right. Visit directly the producers and farmers of the Écrins massif and taste the flavors of the regional markets: the mountain tome is particularly famous there. You will also appreciate the Champsaur turtledoves.

For centuries, men have been taking part in the charm of the Écrins massif: churches, museums, castles, wash houses also appeal to tourists.

Would you like to find accommodation in southeastern France? You can discover a selection of accommodation to spend your stay in the Hautes-Alpes department: campsites, bed and breakfast, hotels… The Villar-Loubière Tourist Office will give you advice on activities to try and monuments.

The Écrins National Park

The Massif des Écrins offers a wide variety of landscapes. From the laughing valleys to the summits exceeding 4000 meters in altitude, several mountains share the park. Outdoor leisure activities are numerous in the park: Nordic walking, hiking, mountain biking, via ferrata, canyoning, kayaking, canoeing, mountaineering in summer, but also skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in winter. The terroir is the image of the country, authentic, simple and generous: boiled bread, pies, charcuterie…

The Valgaudemar

The deep valley of the Valgaudemar opens onto high mountain peaks crowned by glaciers. It is a paradise for hiking lovers. The villages of this valley offer a preserved architecture, in a grandiose setting, and a rural heritage worthy of interest.
