Scuba diving in Hyères

The seabed of the Mediterranean Sea is renowned for its beauty. While diving in Hyères in the Var, you can observe many species. In the Posidonia meadows, between the rocks or in the middle of the corals, you can see cuttlefish, octopus, groupers, girelles, sea breams (dorados), scorpion fish, red mullets, seahorses… Some dives also invite you to discover shipwrecks or aeroplane wrecks, stranded during a storm or during the war. Very experienced divers can, for example, discover the wreck of the Donator, at a depth of about 50 metres.

Never dived before? Are you an experienced diver? For an introductory or advanced course, or simply for a baptism, you will find clubs in Hyères, off the Giens peninsula and the Golden Islands.
