Avignon Markets
The market of the Halles of Avignon
The covered market of Les Halles is located in the heart of the historic city of Avignon, within the medieval ramparts. 40 merchants offer a wide variety of food and local products all year round. Greengrocers, creamers and cheese makers, bakers and pastry chefs, fishmongers, wine merchants, grocers, caterers offer a large choice of fruits and vegetables, meat and delicatessen, seafood, wines, sweets, regional specialties… There is also a florist, a store selling Provencal products and culinary workshops at Les Halles market. Are you coming by car? A large parking lot offers several hundred parking spaces nearby.

Weekly markets
Numerous markets are organized all year round in the different districts of Avignon. You will find food products, fruits and vegetables from Provence, clothes and various other items:
- In the district of Montfavet, place de l’Eglise, on Tuesday and Friday evenings (producers’ market) ;
- In the district of Monclar, place de la Méditerranée, every Tuesday and Friday;
- In the Chabran garden, boulevard Limbert, on Saturdays;
- In the district of Saint-Chamand, avenue Pierre de Coubertin, on Sundays.
The flower market
Every Saturday on the Place des Carmes, stands offer flowers, seeds, plants and cuttings, gardening tools. This small market with a friendly atmosphere also welcomes new arrivals and a space dedicated to organic products. Between colors, scents and flavors, it is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of an authentic Provence.

The provençal markets of Vaucluse
The neighboring villages of the Vaucluse host many Provencal markets, which can be sources of motivation to discover remarkable places during a gourmet and tourist getaway.
On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, Monteux hosts a farmers’ market. Local producers sell directly their fruits and vegetables, but also their eggs, cheeses, honeys, olive oils, jams and many other tasty local products. You can take advantage of your getaway in Monteux to visit the picturesque streets of the historic center.
On Thursday mornings, Caumont-sur-Durance hosts a market on Place Jean Jaurès. You can visit the nearby Chartreuse de Bonpas, discover the flowers and plants of the Roman Garden, or stroll along the banks of the Sorgue de Velleron.
