Discovering the Luberon
The foundation of the Luberon Regional Natural Park is justified in view of the varied landscapes it shelters. Between fields, vineyards and forests, valleys and mountains, you will be able to discover grandiose landscapes. During your hikes, you will be able to admire a little less than 300 species of vertebrates. Ornithology enthusiasts can observe Bonelli’s eagle, a particularly rare species of bird of prey. The Luberon can also be discovered on a bicycle. From Sannes, go on the paths of the Park, to discover the exceptional territory. The hilltop villages of the Luberon, in the Calavon valley, in the Durance valley or on the slopes of the Petit and Grand Luberon, also contribute to the charm of the area.
The Vaucluse museums
Sunny landscapes and numerous villages are not the only tourist attractions of the department. Several dozens of museums welcome you in the Luberon and the Comtat Venaissin: you will appreciate for example the mechanical music mill of Mormoiron, Museum of Old Avignon, the ecomuseum of the calls of Saint-Didier de Saint-Didier, the museum Louis Vouland of Avignon…
