The Underwater Eco-Museum: A Treasure to Explore on Sainte-Marguerite Island!
Unusual, fun and environmentally friendly, the Cannes Underwater Eco-Museum is an experience that leaves no one indifferent. Off the southern shore of Sainte-Marguerite Island, just a few minutes from Cannes, discover the majestic underwater sculptures created by artist Jason deCaires Taylor. These monumental faces, suspended between land and sea, create a fascinating dialogue between humankind, nature and the marine world. Equipped with your mask and snorkel, dive into this unique underwater art gallery and enjoy an experience that is both captivating and unforgettable.
Tip: The sculptures are located several dozen metres from the shore (between 84 and 132 metres) and at depths ranging from 3 to 5 metres. The use of a float, bodyboard, paddleboard or kayak is recommended for families with young children or occasional swimmers. It's a great way to enjoy the experience while admiring the crystal-clear turquoise waters.
