Like a treasure hunt, we'll discover the many remains of the fortifications that prevented the Italian invasion in 1940. I'll tell you about the battles that took place there and the living conditions of the men...

We'll cover part of the Resistance Line, still dotted with barbed wire, trenches, individual battle holes, cagnas, subway shelters, Briançonnaises pills, blockhouses... After a 500 m climb, you can visit the Gondran-E Maginot fort. We'll return via Lac des Sarailles and talk about the fantastic history of the Chenaillet, witness to the Alpine Ocean. Easy off-trail, poles recommended. Easy off-road trail, walking sticks recommended. 5 € for optional visit to the Maginot du Gondran fortress E
