Description
Visit a traditional distillery and discover the methods of pastis making, traditional provençal beverage. Tastings with organic syrups and local cheeses.
Take a stroll through a charming and little-known spot in Aix-en-Provence: the Montaiguet hill, nestled in the heart of the garrigue and surrounded by Aleppo pines. Enjoy panoramic views of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, the Sainte-Baume massif, the Roquefavour aqueduct, and the Étoile mountain range.
Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the aromatic plants used in pastis distillation: calamus mint, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, and more.
Next, we'll visit the distillery to learn about the distillation and maceration processes. Finally, you'll try various pastis, absinthe, and herbal syrups produced on-site, accompanied by goat and/or sheep cheese.
