Description
A day-long hike to explore the ecosystem of the lakes and peat bogs at Col bas.
From wetland plants to blueberries, mountain birds of prey, and marmots, we’ll observe the life around us. This hike is a bit challenging but, above all, very picturesque, immersing us in a typical mountain environment of the Southern Alps.
10 km and 420 m elevation gain
Meet in front of the Seyne Tourist Office at 8 a.m. We’ll take a 30-minute drive to reach the trailhead, at an elevation of 1,900 m.
Remember to bring at least 2 litres of water per person, your picnic, a windproof jacket and, depending on the weather, a waterproof jacket, a hat, sunglasses, sun cream and your walking shoes.
