Description
The Centre Nautique de Saint-Mandrier offers sailing or fusion (dinghy) courses for your children, as well as outings with family and friends.
Camp Programs:
MOUSSAILLON for children ages 5 to 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
OPTIMIST for children ages 7 to 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
CATAMARAN for children ages 10 and up, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
FUSION for children ages 10 and up, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Children will learn, among other things, how to sail along a route chosen and supervised by the instructor.
- Technique: Moving forward with the help of a sail and steering the boat;
- Safety: Following the safety instructions provided;
- Seamanship and the environment: Respect the environment.
A state-certified instructor will lead the activities.
Recommended gear:
- Swimsuit, shorts, T-shirt (optionally, a 1mm short neoprene wetsuit—retails for about €15);
- Sweater, windbreaker;
- Closed-toe shoes (sneakers, plastic sandals, neoprene booties—no boots);
- Change of clothes, towel;
- Sunglasses with a cord;
- Cap, sunscreen;
- Small bottle of water.
The water sports center also offers private lessons and rentals of wing foils, Fusion dinghies, and Hobie Cat 15 catamarans.
