Set sail from Toulon for a day at sea aboard the JLD’A, a 24-meter-long historic wooden sailing ship designated a “Vessel of Cultural Heritage Interest.” From sailing to exploring the seascape and stopping at a cove with crystal-clear waters, enjoy an authentic experience in the world of traditional sailing. Highlights • Sailing aboard a 24-meter historic sailing vessel • Opportunity to participate in maneuvers and learn basic seamanship • Anchoring in a sheltered cove • Included water activities: paddleboarding, snorkeling, swimming Cancellation Policy Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the activity date. The Experience Departing from the port of Toulon, the JLD’A casts off at 10:30 a.m. for a day dedicated to traditional sailing. From the very first maneuvers in Toulon’s small harbor, you’ll learn how the sailboat works and, if you’d like, can help set the sails and get an introduction to seamanship alongside the crew. After sailing, the boat heads to a sheltered cove with crystal-clear waters for a relaxing stopover. You’ll then have some free time to swim, go snorkeling, use the paddleboards provided, or simply relax on the boat’s deck. In the late afternoon, the return to Toulon takes place under sail in a calm and friendly atmosphere. Schedule for the day: • 10:30 a.m.: Departure from the port of Toulon and sailing • 12:30 p.m.: Anchor in a sheltered cove and enjoy a Mediterranean meal featuring: Pasta salad with lamb’s lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, tuna, and black olives; pesto sauce served on the side; Chia seed pudding with coconut milk, served with a strawberry-raspberry coulis. Children’s lunch: Pasta salad, boiled ham, and Emmental cheese; pesto sauce served on the side; applesauce. In case of allergies or special dietary requirements, certain menu items can be adapted. We simply ask that you let us know at the time of booking so that we can make the necessary arrangements with our caterer. • 1:00 p.m.: Lunch • 4:00 PM: Departure from the cove and return to Toulon • Estimated arrival around 5:30 PM Practical Information • Pets not allowed Equipment provided: 2 paddleboards, fin sets, masks and snorkels, swim floats Price includes: Cold and hot beverages Price does not include: Lunch Tip from the Tourist Office • Be sure to bring a swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen to enjoy your breaks at anchor. • Take advantage of your visit to Toulon to explore the Cours Lafayette market before boarding.
