Serre-Ponçon Aloha The Experience

What is it? SUP is a large surfboard that you stand on; it’s very stable and suitable for everyone aged 6 to 77… You move around using a long paddle. It’s a brilliant way to get about – eco-friendly, silent, and you can go almost anywhere… SUP helps you stay in good physical shape. Come and explore the lake’s shores, its coves and islands by SUP, enjoying independent and safe excursions. Board hire is available from Bois Vieux beach in Rousset or from other locations in the early and late seasons. What’s it for: Discover Lake Serre-Ponçon in a different way: the Baie Des Lionnets, its flora and fauna, with breathtaking views of the Serre-Ponçon dam. Between the Durance and Ubaye rivers. We’re sure to spot schools of fish or does and roe deer along the banks. Fun, very accessible, and perfect for families. An activity for the whole family, suitable from 6–7 years old: children will love being independent and taking part with their parents. In 2026, we’ll also be partnering with a French paddleboard brand (Aquadesign) for anyone who’d like to try them out and buy one for the summer ;-) New for 2026: Yoga classes on the terraces at our base. The classes are led by Virginie, a qualified Hatha Yoga teacher (who’s also a big fan of the Hautes-Alpes). The idea is to take some time out at our superb spot, to breathe and enjoy the start or end of the day in peace and quiet ;-) These yoga sessions are held in small, intimate groups of up to 6 people. We can also arrange for you to enjoy some stand-up paddleboarding before or after the yoga session – we’ll work with you to find the right package ;-) Changing rooms and sanitary facilities freely available.
