Do you fancy a BIG dive into the void from the highest bridge in Europe? To have a go at this adventure, visit the Pont de l’Artuby, aka Chaulière Bridge, in Aiguines with Latitude Challenge. From its height of 182 metres (you have been warned) the bridge overlooks a tributary of the Verdon and offers an unobstructed view of the gorges. This bungee jump will give you an incredible free fall of between 140 and 160 metres depending on your weight. Thrills guaranteed!

Near Aix and Avignon

Around Aix-en-Provence and Avignon, there are several skydiving clubs and schools (like Para Club Aix or Catch’Air). To start off, try an introductory tandem jump with an instructor. You’ll jump at an altitude of 4,000 metres. Then, you’ll experience a 50-second free fall at 200 km/h and a peaceful descent, once the chute has gone up, of 5 minutes. This is the moment to admire the countryside! If you enjoy the experience, you can start a training course for solo jumps.

The hot-air balloon is surely the best way to explore the landscape and topography of Provence. It also has the advantage of being accessible to all: no special physical aptitude is required. From the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, take a trip to Forcalquier – renowned for having « the purest sky and air in Europe! » – to France Montgolfières. Close your eyes and enjoy the surroundings and the silence.
